For the second consecutive year, the WMG Foundation took part in the global Race for the Cure initiative, organised in Serbia by Europa Donna Serbia, supporting breast cancer prevention and raising awareness of the importance of women’s health.
The WMG Foundation’s participation took place as part of the Prevention as a Guarantee project, which focuses on promoting prevention and the importance of timely health screenings.
The SpOna team, made up of colleagues, associates and friends of the WMG Foundation, brought together the largest number of participants at this year’s Race for the Cure. By running and walking, participants showed their support for women facing breast cancer and highlighted the importance of prevention.
“Through the Prevention as a Guarantee project, we want to help make looking after our health and the importance of preventive screenings topics that are discussed openly and continuously. At the same time, the Race for the Cure carries a powerful message of support for women undergoing treatment, their families and everyone who stands by them. That is why it is particularly important to us to be part of this initiative again this year,” said Irena Petrović, Director of the WMG Foundation.
A special feature of the WMG Foundation’s space was the Place for Emotions, where participants left messages of support, encouragement and love. Throughout the event, the space was filled with personal messages addressed to women facing breast cancer and the people supporting them.
The Race for the Cure is Europe’s largest sporting event dedicated to women’s health, bringing together women who have overcome breast cancer, their families, friends, colleagues and everyone who wishes to show their support.
Through its partnership with Europa Donna Serbia and participation in the Race for the Cure, the WMG Foundation is continuing its activities under the auspices of its Prevention as a Guarantee project, bringing together prevention, women’s health and community support.
