WMG Experts Addressed Reputation Challenges, Responsible Communication and Media Transformation

Trust, credibility and the responsible use of artificial intelligence were among the central topics of this year’s Digital Day 2026 conference, one of the region’s leading events dedicated to the digital industry. As one of the conference’s key partners, WMG (Wireless Media Group) actively participated in panel discussions bringing together leading experts from the fields of media, marketing, technology and digital business.

Ruža Veljović, Chief Corporate Affairs, Communications and Marketing Officer at WMG, took part in the panel discussion titled “Reputation in the Digital Environment,” which addressed the challenges of reputation management in an era of disinformation, manipulative narratives and the growing influence of digital channels on public perception.

Speaking about the importance of reputation in the digital environment, Veljović emphasised that the fundamental principles of successful reputation management remain unchanged, regardless of the speed at which information spreads today.

“Trust is the most valuable currency when it comes to reputation. When a company approaches reputation at the leadership level and treats it as a business priority, rather than merely as the responsibility of the communications team, it is built carefully through consistency, transparency and the daily reaffirmation of the values the company represents,” Veljović said.

She also highlighted that WMG manages reputation and crisis situations at both the business and leadership levels, supported by clearly defined procedures.

“The digital environment has accelerated the pace at which reputation can be put at risk, which makes it essential for organisations to have clear protocols and well-trained teams in place. In some cases, simply denying a claim is not enough. It is also necessary to explain the context surrounding the information and the way in which it has been interpreted,” Veljović added.

During the panel discussion “Newsrooms after ChatGPT: How Do We Write, Edit and Distribute News Today?”, Ana Marković, Digital Media Director at Mondo INC, spoke about the changes artificial intelligence is bringing to the media industry and the day-to-day work of newsrooms.
The discussion focused on the opportunities AI tools offer journalists and editors, as well as the limits of their use when it comes to accountability, accuracy and audience trust.

“AI will never replace the creativity, editorial judgement, sources and accountability that underpin quality journalism. Its greatest value lies in its ability to take over operational and repetitive tasks, allowing journalists to devote more time to the core of their profession: creating high-quality content,” Marković emphasised.

According to Marković, Mondo INC’s publishing brands do not view artificial intelligence as a replacement for journalists and editors, but rather as a tool that enables them to focus more fully on producing quality content.

“Responsibility for published content always remains with people. This is why we continuously invest in employee training and the development of internal solutions that help our journalists and editors work more efficiently, while expertise, ethics and creativity remain firmly in human hands. AI is an assistant, not an author,” Marković concluded.

As a company operating across technology, media and digital transformation, WMG remains committed to contributing to the development of a sustainable and responsible digital environment founded on trust, innovation and expertise.
