The company WMG (Wireless Media Group) hosted members of the Serbian Association of Managers (SAM) as part of the SAM Open Day program, which provides members with the opportunity to meet and connect with leaders and companies operating in Serbia.
The program began with an organised tour through WMG, during which SAM members became acquainted first-hand with the way work is organised across different divisions and sectors within the company and saw on site how the synergy between the media and technology segments of the business functions.
The event was opened by Danijela Rakić, Director of Communications at SAM, who highlighted the value of the SAM Open Day format as a space for knowledge exchange, learning from the practices of successful companies and strengthening B2B networking, while those present were welcomed on behalf of WMG by Ruža Veljović, Director of Corporate Communications and Marketing, emphasizing that WMG operates as a leading media and digital company in the region.
Ana Aleksić, member of the WMG Management Board and President of the Board of the WMG Foundation, presented the media division and production, speaking about the company’s approach and plans in the Western Balkans.
The Director for Strategic Clients, Biljana Stojković, presented WMG Product & Services, a division that helps clients accelerate growth and improve efficiency through digital solutions for better customer experience, sales channels and internal processes. Tamara Markićević, Director of Business Development, presented WMG Digital Transformation and WMG’s experience in designing and implementing complex systems for processes such as HR and finance, with support through analysis, integrations and the introduction of solutions into everyday work.
At the very end, Irena Petrović, Director of the WMG Foundation, presented the Foundation’s mission as a platform through which WMG invests in projects of economic, social and environmental sustainability.
Among the most important projects in the field of sustainable development of which WMG is particularly proud is the project Plant A Tree. As a member of the UN Global Compact, the company launched the Plant A Tree project in 2019, and it has in the meantime grown into a true environmental movement, bringing together more than 1,500 volunteers and 18 institutional partners. In 2025 an exceptional goal was achieved – one million planted saplings. Over six rounds, more than 40 cities and municipalities across Serbia have been greened, more than 500 locations have been afforested, more than 45 educational workshops for children have been organised, and more than 12 tons of seeds collected.
In the spirit of the SAM Open Day initiative, the gathering concluded with conversation and networking between members and the WMG team, with an exchange of experiences and the opening of space for future cooperation.
